Regular Season Round 29: JuveCaserta - Vanoli CR 71-65
Date: May 4, 2014
Very predictable result when eighth ranked Juvecaserta (15-14) won against 14th ranked Vanoli Cremona (10-18) in Caserta 71-65 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Vanoli Cremona was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. American point guard Ronald Moore (183-88, college: Siena) orchestrated the victory by scoring 8 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. His fellow American import forward Jeff Brooks (203-89, college: Penn St.) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four Juvecaserta players scored in double figures. Naturalized American guard Jarrius Jackson (183-85, college: Texas Tech) answered with 30 points and American guard Jason Rich (191-86) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Vanoli Cremona. Juvecaserta have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Grissin Bon RE. Vanoli Cremona at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. Juvecaserta will face Tuscany Pistoia (#9) on the road in the next round. Vanoli Cremona will play against Sutor Montegranaro (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
