The game in Rijeka was also quite interesting. 6th ranked KK Zagreb (3-6) played at the court of seventh ranked Kvarner (2-7). Kvarner defeated KK Zagreb 81-65 on Sunday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Kvarner's pressure prevailed and they won that period 21-12 extending their advantage to 16 points. Antonio Boban (201-93) nailed 29 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and Slovenian guard Bojan Krivec (188-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency) accounted for 11 points and 10 assists. Bosnian forward Miralem Halilovic (205-91, agency: XL Basketball Agency) came up with 16 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Ivan Novacic (201-85) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for KK Zagreb in the defeat. KK Zagreb's coach Daniel Jusup rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Kvarner maintains seventh place with 2-7 record. Loser KK Zagreb dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Alkar Sinj. Kvarner will meet league's leader Cedevita in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KK Zagreb's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Zagreb Cibona.
