Second Stage Round 3: Trotamundos - Marinos 84-74

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when Trotamundos (2-2) beat Marinos (3-2) in Valencia 84-74 on Monday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 27-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for Dominican forward Jack Michael Martinez (201-81) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds. International guard Jhornan Zamora (196-89) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Trotamundos' coach Jorge Arrieta used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Aaron Harper (203-81, college: Mississippi) answered with 13 points and 9 rebounds and the former international swingman Jose Vargas (195-82) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for Marinos. Four Marinos players scored in double figures. Trotamundos will have a break next round. Marinos will play on the road against Guaiqueries in Porlamar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
