Quarter-Finals Round 2: Siauliai - Neptunas 95-66
Date: May 7, 2014
Siauliai shot down visiting Neptunas to level things up at 1-1 in the quarterfinal series. The decider is schedule for May 11th. The game was mostly controlled by Siauliai. Neptunas managed to win fourth quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Siauliai dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Neptunas' 24 and made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Siauliai made 7 blocks. American guard Travis Leslie (193-90, college: Georgia) notched 19 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import center Bambale Osby (203-86, college: Maryland) supported him with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Osby is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Siauliai players scored in double figures. Even 18 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) by forward Justas Sinica (203-85) did not help to save the game for Neptunas. Forward Simas Galdikas (205-87) added 13 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
