The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Zagreb: Cibona (#2) and KK Zagreb (#6). KK Zagreb was defeated at home 88-96 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-17. But KK Zagreb won third quarter 26-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Cibona won last quarter 29-23. Cibona outrebounded KK Zagreb 41-28 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by KK Zagreb's players. International forward Dario Saric (204-94, agency: Beo Basket) scored 23 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Ivan Siriscevic (198-87) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side swingman Ivan Milenkovic (200-88) responded with 20 points and forward Toni Brnas (201-91) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Five KK Zagreb players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cibona (9-1) have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion (9-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Cedevita. KK Zagreb at the other side dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Alkar Sinj. Cibona's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Zagreb Cedevita.
