The game between Top Four teams took place in Porlamar. 3rd ranked host Guaiqueries (2-6) lost to first ranked Marinos (4-2) 68-60Guaiqueries were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. American swingman Aaron Harper (203-81, college: Mississippi) fired 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American-Liberian power forward Samuel Hoskin (206-79, college: De Paul, agency: Higher Vision Sports) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. The former international swingman Francisco Centeno (201-85) produced 21 points and 9 rebounds and the former international center Richard Lugo (209-73, college: St.Francis, NY) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Marinos maintains first position in Group A with 4-2 record, which they share with Trotamundos. Guaiqueries lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third place with six games lost. Marinos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Guaiqueries will play against the league's leader Trotamundos in Valencia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
