Fifth-ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (10-11) gave a tough game to third ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (14-5). Tijuana Zonkeys managed to secure only three-point victory 94-91. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Caballeros de Culiacan. Law) came up with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import swingman Rene Rougeau (198-86, college: UNLV) added 28 points and 4 assists respectively for Caballeros de Culiacan in the defeat. Five Tijuana Zonkeys and four Caballeros de Culiacan players scored in double figures. Tijuana Zonkeys have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain third place with 14-5 record having five points less than leader Hermosillo. Newly promoted Caballeros de Culiacan keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost.
