Balkan posted the second consecutive victory in the semifinal series versus Levski Sofia. Balkan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Balkan outrebounded Levski Sofia 41-30 including 33 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Stanimir Marinov (192-91) who scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international Pavel Marinov (199-88, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Five Balkan players scored in double figures. American forward Jumaine Jones (202-79, college: Georgia) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and American-FYR Macedonian forward Michael Wilkinson (204-81, college: Wisconsin, agency: Interperformances) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
