Lusitania edged Vitoria SC to force the decisive fifth game in the semifinal series. The hosts trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 51-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Lusitania made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jaime Smith (191-89, college: Al.-Huntsville) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 5 assists and Augusto Sobrinho (188-85) who added 22 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side international forward Joao Balseiro (192-87) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and Spanish center Ismael Torres (202-79) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds.
