Very expected game when 7th ranked Kvarner (3-9) was smashed on the road by third ranked KK Zadar (9-3) 93-71. The game without a history. KK Zadar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. KK Zadar outrebounded Kvarner 35-24 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. KK Zadar shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. KK Zadar brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was guard Toni Prostran (181-91) who scored 14 points. Serbian guard Marko Sutalo (193-83) chipped in 18 points. Four KK Zadar players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Henrik Sirko (201-93, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who recorded 19 points and 7 steals and power forward Jure Skific (202-88) added 10 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. KK Zadar maintains third position in Places 1-8 with 9-3 record having just two points less than leader Cedevita. Kvarner at the other side keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. KK Zadar's next round opponent will be KK Zagreb (#6) on the road. Kvarner will play against the league's second-placed Cibona in Zagreb and hope to win that game.
