The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Caballeros de Culiacan's (15-11) home victory over 5th ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (13-11) 87-80 on Saturday. Pioneros Los Mochis were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. American players dominated the game. Even a double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds by forward Taylor King (203-88, college: Concordia Irvine, agency: Elite Talent Exchange) did not help to save the game for Pioneros Los Mochis. CamRon Clay (203-82) added 18 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Caballeros de Culiacan have an impressive five-game winning streak. Newly promoted Caballeros de Culiacan maintains fourth position with 15-11 record. Pioneros Los Mochis lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 11 games lost. Caballeros de Culiacan will meet at home league's leader Rayos de Hermosillo in the next round and it may be the game of the week.
