Semi-Finals Game 1: ALBA - Art.Dragons 81-79 OT

ALBA wasted a comfortable lead in teh fourth quarter before picking slack in overtime and finishing off Artland Dragons in the semifinal series opener. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Artland Dragons won third quarter 17-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Artland Dragons used huge pressure winning it 21-12 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 7-9. ALBA Berlin made 30-of-35 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. ALBA Berlin outrebounded Artland Dragons 38-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. The game was dominated by American players. Swingman Reggie Redding (196-88, college: Villanova) fired 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. point guard Clifford Hammonds (191-85, college: Clemson) chipped in 10 points and 4 assists. point guard David Holston (168-86, college: Chicago St., agency: Priority Sports) produced 20 points and guard Antonio Graves (191-85, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Two Points) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
