Galatasaray outgunned Banvit BK to take 2-1 lead in the semifinal series. Galatasaray will look forward to closing out the series on Friday at home court. Banvit BK was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 29-19 charge of Galatasaray, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for Puerto Rican point guard Carlos Arroyo (188-79, college: FIU, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 6 assists. Naturalized American power forward Ersin Dagli (203-81, college: Alabama, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 8 points and 15 rebounds. Galatasaray's coach Ergin Ataman used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American-Bulgarian guard Earl Rowland (188-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Nigerian center Alade Aminu (210-87, college: Georgia Tech) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds.
