Galatasaray handed the second straight defeat to Banvit at home court and sealed the title series birth. Galatasaray will now take on cross-town rivals Fenerbahce for the crown. The championship series is slated to start on June 3. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 22-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Georgian Manuchar Markoishvili (196-86) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and Puerto Rican point guard Carlos Arroyo (188-79, college: FIU, agency: Interperformances) who added 18 points during the contest. Galatasaray's coach Ergin Ataman used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Dominican-American guard Sammy Mejia (198-83, college: De Paul) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Erkan Veyseloglu (200-83, agency: 1x1 Sports) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds.
