NBL top team - Chongqing FD (9-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat tenth ranked Jiang Xi (2-8) in Jiangxi 79-70. The guests were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 21-19 Jiang Xi's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 79-70 at the end of the game. Chongqing FD dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Jiang Xi's 44. Chongqing FD forced 19 Jiang Xi turnovers and outrebounded them 36-23 including 30 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Jiang Xi's players. American forward Arinze Onuaku (206-87, college: Syracuse) notched a double-double by scoring 29 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists (on 13-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and forward Liang Yu (209-86) supported him with 13 points and 4 assists.
