The game in Henan was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Shaanxi W. (8-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Henan (5-7). Shaanxi W. managed to secure a 7-point victory 87-80 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Henan. Henan was trailing by 13 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 21-13 charge of Shaanxi W., which allowed them to win the game. Shaanxi W. had a 37-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American center Keith Benson (210-88, college: Oakland) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 31 points and 21 rebounds and forward MingLiang Wei (195-82) supported him with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Shaanxi W.'s coach QingLong Wu used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 40 points (!!!) and 22 rebounds by American forward Tiny Gallon (206-91, college: Oklahoma, agency: Three Eye Sports) did not help to save the game for Henan. The former international forward Bo Wang (202-82) added 12 points and 6 rebounds. Shaanxi W. moved-up to third place, which they share with Hang Sen Guayzhou. Newly promoted Henan keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Changsha Bank. Shaanxi W. will meet at home bottom-ranked Heilongjiang (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Henan will play against the league's leader Chongqing FD (#1) in Guangzhou and hope to secure a win.
