Regular Season Round 13: Chongqing FD - Henan 100-80

NBL top team - Chongqing FD (11-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Henan (5-8) in Guangzhou 100-80. The game was mostly controlled by Chongqing FD. Henan was better in fourth quarter 28-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Chongqing FD dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Henan's 34. They outrebounded Henan 38-19 including a 13-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. Chongqing FD players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 1 passes made by Henan's players. American forward Arinze Onuaku (206-87, college: Syracuse) nailed a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and forward Liang Yu (209-86) accounted for 24 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Lei Shang (196-88) came up with 26 points and guard Jian Tang (193-92) added 18 points respectively for Henan in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Chongqing FD maintains first place with 11-2 record. Newly promoted Henan keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Nanjin Army and Changsha Bank. Chongqing FD will play against bottom-ranked Heilongjiang (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Henan will play against Guangxi R. (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
