Very expected game when 11th ranked Heilongjiang (1-15) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Changsha Bank (7-9) 98-85 on Friday. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 34-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Changsha Bank forced 23 Heilongjiang turnovers. Strangely Heilongjiang outrebounded Changsha Bank 44-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. American power forward JaJuan Johnson (208-89, college: Purdue) fired 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Yan Gao (190-93) chipped in 20 points. Four Changsha Bank players scored in double figures. American forward Shawn Taggart (207-85, college: Memphis) produced a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and center Gang Yu (208-92) added 8 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Heilongjiang's coach XiaoGuang Li rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Changsha Bank maintains sixth position with 7-9 record, which they share with Henan. Heilongjiang lost fourteenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 15 games lost. Changsha Bank will meet higher ranked Shaanxi W. (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Heilongjiang will play against Jiang Xi (#10) in Jiangxi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
