Regular Season Round 1: Le Mans - Rouen 61-63

A very interesting game took place in Le Mans. It ended with only two-point home defeat of Le Mans (0-1) to SPO Rouen (1-0) 63-61 on Saturday evening. Le Mans cut a 19-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. Italian-American forward Joe Trapani (203-88, college: Boston Coll.) fired 9 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American-Puerto Rican point guard Kevin Hamilton (193-84, college: Holy Cross) chipped in 8 points and 7 rebounds. American swingman Shy Ely (193-87, college: Evansville) produced 14 points (made all of his eight free throws) and Polish Michal Ignerski (207-80, college: Mississippi St.) added 15 points respectively for lost side. SPO Rouen's next round opponent will be Pau-Lacq-Orthez at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Le Mans will play against JDA Dijon and hope to win that game.
