An interesting game for Northland (1-0) which hosted in Lulea Alvik Basket (0-1). Northland managed to get a 14-point victory 82-68. The game was mostly controlled by Northland. Alvik Basket was better in second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Alvik Basket to just 6 points in first quarter. American guard Katie Bussey (175-90, college: Montana St., agency: LBM Management) fired 26 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. International power forward Josefin Vesterberg (190-93) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Northland's next round opponent will be Mark Basket in Kinna and it will be for sure the game of the week.
