An interesting game was also a 37-point tough home loss of Akropol in a game in Spanga versus undefeated Telge 80-43. The game without a history. Telge led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Akropol to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Telge forced 25 Akropol turnovers and outrebounded them 46-26 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Telge made 7 blocks. The former international swingman Frida Fogdemark (185-91, college: Georgia Tech) nailed 29 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and the former international power forward Jennifer Stjarnstrom (187-87, college: Drexel) accounted for 10 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Telge's coach Hanna Bouldwin felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Ozlem Alkan (174-90) came up with 16 points and 4 assists and Serbian guard Jovana Ciric (173-83) added 9 points and 6 assists respectively for Akropol in the defeat. Telge will meet Sallen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Akropol will have a break next round.
