Very expected game when 10th ranked Barreteros (1-3) lost to top-ranked Soles (4-0) in Zacatecas 89-95 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 14-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 95-89. American players dominated also this game. It was a very good performance for guard Zach Graham (198-89, college: Mississippi) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Reginald Buckner (206-91, college: Mississippi) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Center Jerome Habel (208-85, college: San Diego St.) replied with 26 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and Devon Pearson (198-84, college: SMU) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Barreteros. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Barreteros' coach Jesus Alba rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Soles have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Fuerza Regia. Newly promoted Barreteros keep the tenth place with three games lost. Soles will face Halcones Rojos (#5) in Veracruz in the next round. Barreteros will play against Titanicos (#14) and hope to win that game.
