Very significant was Forssan Alku's (#2) 77-70 road victory against Pyrinto. It looked good early as Pyrinto took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Forssan Alku had a 17-9 second period charge getting the lead and Pyrinto was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 70-77. Forssan Alku had a 37-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international forward Sanna Helenius (180-84, college: Valparaiso) nailed 22 points and 4 assists for the winning side and center Juta Jahilo (186-84) accounted for 13 points and 15 rebounds. Four Forssan Alku players scored in double figures. Hendderson Brittany came up with 24 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Jeanette Anderson (163-91, college: Caldwell) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Pyrinto in the defeat. Forssan Alku will play against TuRi in Turku in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pyrinto will play on the road against Peli-Karhut in Kotka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
