The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of SIG (1-1) in llkirch-Graff.. Hosts were defeated by Pays d'Aix (2-0) 71-64. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. American power forward Shante Evans (184-91, college: Hofstra) notched 16 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Serbian guard Ljiljana Tomasevic (174-88) supported her with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Pays d'Aix's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds by forward Darline NSoki (182-89) did not help to save the game for SIG. Louise Dambach (175-96) added 16 points for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pays d'Aix will play against Avenir in Chartres in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SIG will play on the road against CFBB in Paris to get more than just one victory in their record.
