But Orvieto was not able to use a home court advantage and was crushed by the opponent from Ragusa 80-47 on Sunday night. The game without a history. Ragusa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Orvieto's 24. Ragusa forced 29 Orvieto turnovers. It was a very good performance for American power forward Ashley Walker (187-87, college: California, agency: Merit Management Group) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. International guard Gaia Gorini (182-92) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Ragusa players scored in double figures. Ragusa's coach Antonio Molino felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Kirby Burkholder (183, college: JMU, agency: LBM Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Sydney Crafton (178-91, college: Missouri) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Orvieto. Ragusa will face Lavezzini PR in Parma in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Orvieto will play on the road against Trieste and hope to win that game.
