Chieti defeated Roseto at home 78-70. Roseto was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Strangely Roseto outrebounded Chieti 40-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. Point guard Diego Monaldi (184-93, agency: Players Group) stepped up and scored 24 points for the winners and American swingman Jeremy Saffold (198-91, college: Wisc.-Parkside, agency: N.E.T.) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Chieti players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Damier Pitts (177-89, college: Marshall) responded with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Davon Usher (198-92, college: Delaware) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Roseto will play next round against Treviso Basket trying to get back on the winning streak. Chieti will try to continue on its current victory against Matera on the road.
