Polpharma used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Tarnobrzeg 89-79 on Sunday night. Polpharma made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American power forward Evan Ravenel (203-89, college: Ohio St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import Tony Meier (204-90, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Polpharma's coach Tomasz Jankowski used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Four Polpharma and five Stabill Jezioro players scored in double figures. Polpharma will face AZS Polfarmex in Kutno in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Stabill Jezioro will play at home against PGE Turow (#2) and hope to win that game.
