An interesting game where Tezenis VE crushed host CZG Veroli with 23-point difference 78-55 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 15-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-55. Tezenis VE dominated on the defensive end, holding CZG Veroli to just 7 points in second quarter. They made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Tezenis VE especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. American power forward Darryl Monroe (198-86, college: George Mason) stepped up and scored 26 points for the winners and international point guard Andrea De Nicolao (185-91) chipped in 9 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Tezenis VE's coach Alessandro Ramagli felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Alex Legion (195-88, college: FIU) responded with 19 points and the other American import power forward Matthew Shaw (203-88, college: UNLV) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Tezenis VE will meet at home Sigma Barcellona in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. CZG Veroli will play against Trieste and hope to win that game.
