An interesting game was played in Athens where Panathinaikos beat host Athinaikos with 16-point difference 71-55 on Wednesday evening. American power forward Monique Oliver (188-91, college: Rutgers) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and Anastasia Slouka (182-93) chipped in 16 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. At the losing side the former international guard Anastasia Kostaki (172-78, agency: Josep and Nicolas) responded with 18 points and 6 assists and forward Theodora Panteli (183-87, college: Binghamton) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Athinaikos' coach Kostas Keramidas rotated nineteen players seeing no chance for a win. Panathinaikos will meet at home Ippokratis in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Athinaikos will play against Terpsithea in Glyfadas and hope to win that game.
