A very close game took place in Tapiolan between Tapiolan Honka and HyPo. Tapiolan Honka (2-0) got a very close home victory over HyPo (1-1). Tapiolan Honka managed to escape with a 1-point win 77-76 on Wednesday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But HyPo won fourth quarter 24-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tapiolan Honka forced 19 HyPo turnovers. Tuuli Menna (182-96) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Jennifer Schlott (168-91, college: Utah St., agency: LBM Management) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The former international center Taru Tuukkanen (192-77, college: Xavier, agency: Regeneracom Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Titta-Riina Lepisto (184-90) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Four HyPo players scored in double figures. Tapiolan Honka will meet ViVe in the next round and are hoping to win another game. HyPo will play against Forssan Alku and hope to win that game.
