Regular Season Round 1: Breidablik - IA 67-53

Breidablik defeated IA in Kopavogur 67-53. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 67-53. 24 personal fouls committed by IA helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Nate Garth (188-89, college: UCSB) stepped up and scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and swingman Halldor Halldorsson (186-89) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Breidablik players scored in double figures. Breidablik's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
