Regular Season Round 3: Legia - Zaglebie 88-57

Legia used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Sosnowiec 88-57. The game was mostly controlled by Legia. Zaglebie was better in third quarter 22-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Zaglebie's 26. They outrebounded Zaglebie 42-27 including a 24-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Legia players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Zaglebie's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a good game for Mateusz Bierwagen (195-88, agency: Promotex) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Arkadiusz Kobus (197-86, agency: Promotex) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four Legia players scored in double figures. Pawel Bogdanowicz (197-87) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Marek Piechowicz (201-88) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Zaglebie. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Legia's next round opponent will be SKK Siedlce on the road which should be theoretically another easy game. Zaglebie will play against Sokol Lancut and hopes to get finally their first victory.
