Very significant was Ammerud's (2-0) victory against Gimle (1-1) 71-64. Ammerud made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Gimle turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Ammerud made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was the former international center Tina Nesse (183-84) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 5 blocks. Forward Sara Grindelid (183-82) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Four Ammerud players scored in double figures.
