Regular Season Round 3: Aulnoye - Reims 66-48

Reims (2-1) recorded a loss on the court of Aulnoye on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Aulnoye 66-48. The game without a history. Aulnoye led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Reims' 20. Aulnoye forced 23 Reims turnovers. Strangely Reims outrebounded Aulnoye 41-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was center Cora Duval (185-87) who scored 13 points. Forward Carole Leclair (185-89) chipped in 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Aulnoye's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Slovakian forward Simona Podesvova (186-83) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds and power forward Marieme Badiane (190-94) added 8 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Aulnoye's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in to the arena .
