Regular Season Round 1: Toshiba BT - Tochigi Brex 75-92

Very predictable result in Kanagawa where Tochigi Brex (2-0) defeated Toshiba Thunders (0-2) 92-75 on Saturday. Toshiba Thunders trailed 41-38 at halftime, rallying from a 29-16 deficit at the end of first quarter to trim the gap. Tochigi Brex looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Yuta Tabuse (173-80, college: BYU-Hawaii) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) responded with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and Yuma Fujii (-91) scored 10 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
