There was an upset when Salerno (0-1) was defeated at home by Viterbo (1-1) 70-59 on Saturday. The game without a history. Viterbo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Power forward Ludovica Chimenz (186-90) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Lorenza Spirito (178-90) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Center Camilla Ardito (183-89) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and guard Camilla Valerio (172-93) scored 14 points. Salerno's coach Alex Blanco let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Viterbo will face Bologna at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Salerno will play against Castellammare in Stabia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
