Regular Season Round 2: ViVe - Huima 58-75

Date: October 11, 2014
But ViVe was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Aanekoski 75-58. It looked good early as ViVe took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Aanekosken took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 17 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ViVe to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Aanekosken forced 26 ViVe turnovers and outrebounded them 48-36 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Michaela Michaela Houser (170-91, college: Purdue, agency: LBM Management) notched 30 points and 4 steals to lead the effort and the other American import power forward Chandra Harris (186-89, college: Georgia St.) supported her with 5 points and 15 rebounds. Even a double-double of 27 points and 14 rebounds by Mcbee Kenya did not help to save the game for ViVe. American center India Hairston (190-91, college: E.Michigan) added 11 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. ViVe's coach Jukka-Pekka Kujala rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Aanekosken's next round opponent will be Catz Lappeenranta on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. ViVe will play against Tapiolan Honka and hope to win that game.
