There was a minor upset in Boulogne-sur-Mer where SO Maritime Boulogne (0-2) was defeated by Entente Orleans 45 (1-2) 92-86 on Saturday. SO Maritime Boulogne trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 29-23 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 86-92 at the end of the game. Entente Orleans 45 looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Marc-Antoine Pellin (169-87) who scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. American swingman David Noel (200-84, college: N.Carolina) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Keddric Mays (183-84, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) who recorded 27 points and the other American import point guard Kenny Boynton (188-91, college: Florida) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Five Entente Orleans 45 and four SO Maritime Boulogne players scored in double figures. Entente Orleans 45 will face Le Mans at home in the next round. SO Maritime Boulogne will play against Chalons-Reims and hopes to get finally their first victory.
