Regular Season Round 3: Sanda - Malbas 65-112

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Malbas' (2-1) road victory over Sanda Basket (0-2) 112-65 on Saturday. The game without a history. Malbas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Sanda Basket's 32. They outrebounded Sanda Basket 49-18 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Malbas especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for forward Fredrik Larsson (200-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Stefan Nguyen (190-92) helped adding 15 points and 5 assists. Five Malbas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Mustafa Allotey with 13 points and guard Albin Eriksson (189-96) scored 11 points and 4 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Malbas will face Helsingborg at home in the next round. Sanda Basket's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Huskvarna to the arena Brahe Basket.
