There was no surprise in Logrono where Cocinas.com (0-2) was defeated by Palma (2-0) 78-73. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. American point guard John DiBartolomeo (183-91, college: Rochester, agency: Duran International) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the other American import forward Shawn Glover (201-90, college: ORU) supported him with 12 points and 13 rebounds. DiBartolomeo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Palma players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 5 rebounds by American-Nigerian forward Zimmy Nwogbo (201-91, college: Cedarville, agency: Duran International) did not help to save the game for Cocinas.com. Serbian power forward Luka Nikolic (209-94) added 6 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Palma's next round opponent will be Melilla Baloncesto at home and are hoping to win another game. Cocinas.com will play against Prat and hope to win that game.
