Regular Season Round 3: Pau-Lacq-Orthez - Strasbourg 58-86

No shocking result in a game when Strasbourg IG (3-0) smashed on the road Pau-Lacq-Orthez (1-2) 86-58 on Saturday. The game without a history. Strasbourg IG led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for Strasbourg IG especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Antoine Diot (193-89) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 assists. The former international swingman Axel Toupane (197-92) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Five Strasbourg IG players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Tyler Cain (203-88, college: S.Dakota) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import point guard Darrel Mitchell (181-84, college: LSU) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Strasbourg IG will face JDA Dijon at home in the next round. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against Paris-Levallois and hope to win that game.
