Regular Season Round 2: Torun - Rosa Radom 74-61

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Rosa (1-1) in Torun on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Twarde Pierniki (2-0) 74-61. The game was mostly controlled by Twarde Pierniki. Rosa managed to win fourth quarter 25-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Rosa 42-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Twarde Pierniki made 7 blocks. Swingman Jaroslaw Zyskowski (203-92, agency: Promotex) scored 21 points to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian center Sean Denison (211-85, college: Santa Clara) chipped in 8 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American center John Turek (205-83, college: Nebraska) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and international point guard Kamil Laczynski (183-89) scored 7 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Twarde Pierniki is looking forward to face Polpharma in Starogard in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rosa will play at home against Anwil and is hoping to win this game.
