Regular Season Round 2: Valencia - Sevilla 96-73

Date: October 12, 2014
Valencia Basket used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Sevilla 96-73 on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 96-73. Valencia Basket made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Sevilla turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Sevilla's players. Croatian forward Kresimir Loncar (210-83, agency: Alti Sport) scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Luke Harangody (201-88, college: Notre Dame) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. American-Georgian point guard Jacob Pullen (185-89, college: Kansas St.) responded with 14 points and Latvian power forward Kristaps Porzingis (211-95) scored 13 points. Four Sevilla players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Valencia Basket will face CAI Zaragoza on the road in the next round. Sevilla will play against Baloncesto Fuenlabrada and hope to win that game.
