Regular Season Round 2: Hiroshima D. - Hyogo S. 86-74

No shocking result in a game in Hiroshima where Dragonflies (2-0) defeated Hyogo S. (0-2) 86-74 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Dragonflies. Hyogo S. managed to win fourth quarter 26-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American swingman Omar Reed (200-87, college: Bluefield) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import power forward Clint Chapman (208-89, college: Texas) chipped in 13 points during the contest. American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and forward Shinnosuke Negoro (195-87) scored 15 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dragonflies will meet Wakayama T. on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Hyogo S. will play against Mitsubishi Dolphins and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
