Zornotza used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Castellon 81-77 on Sunday night. Castello was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 31-22 charge of Zornotza, which allowed them to win the game. Zornotza outrebounded Castello 45-32 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was swingman Ander Garcia (194-89) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Serbian forward Sasa Borovnjak (206-89, college: Penn St.) chipped in 7 points and 13 rebounds. Zornotza's coach Mikel Garitaonandia used a ten-player rotation in such tough game.
