Regular Season Round 2: Matera - Chieti 70-90

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Matera (1-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by Chieti (2-0) 90-70. The game was mostly controlled by Chieti. Matera managed to win fourth quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American guard Adam Sollazzo (198-90, college: E.Tenn.St., agency: Two Points) who scored 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import swingman Jeremy Saffold (198-91, college: Wisc.-Parkside, agency: N.E.T.) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American point guard Josh Greene (183-92, college: CS Northridge) produced 23 points and 4 assists and Matteo Fallucca (194-93) added 16 points respectively for the hosts. Chieti is looking forward to face Latina Basket at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Matera will play against Treviglio and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
