We should mention about the upset which took place in Roma, where Juvecaserta (0-1) lost to Acea (1-0) in a road game 62-75 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-62. Acea made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Juvecaserta turnovers and outrebounded them 36-19 including a 12-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. The game was also dominated by American players. Forward Jordan Morgan (203-91, college: Michigan) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Kyle Gibson (196-87, college: Louisiana Tech) chipped in 21 points. Forward Carleton Scott (203-88, college: Notre Dame) produced 18 points and 5 rebounds and guard Frank Gaines (190-90, college: IPFW) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Acea will face Umana Venezia (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Juvecaserta will play against Enel Brindisi and hope to win that game.
