Date: October 12, 2014
We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when Brahe Basket (1-2) was outplayed on the road by Helsingborg (2-2) 108-65 on Sunday. The game without a history. Helsingborg forced 19 Brahe Basket turnovers and outrebounded them 42-30 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Helsingborg looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Brahe Basket's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Helsingborg made 9 blocks. It was a great evening for guard Max Johansson (195-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Anton Brandt (190-92) helped adding 8 points and 12 assists. Four Helsingborg players scored in double figures. Helsingborg's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was forward Johannes Hidirsah (190-95) with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Abdullahi Yakye scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. Helsingborg will face Haga Haninge at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
