But Cholet Basket was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Nanterre 88-77 on Tuesday night. The game was mostly controlled by JSF Nanterre. Cholet Basket was better in fourth quarter 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. JSF Nanterre made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. JSF Nanterre outrebounded Cholet Basket 41-18 including a 29-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for JSF Nanterre especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Jamal Shuler (191-86) who scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Kyle Weems (198-89, college: Missouri St.) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Rudy Jomby (196-88) who recorded 15 points and American point guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB) added 17 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. JSF Nanterre will face Sluc Nancy on the road in the next round. Cholet Basket will play against Gravelines-Dunkerque and hope to win that game.
