Northland edged Sallen in Lulea 104-102 in double-overtime. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-18. But Sallen won second period 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Sallen used huge pressure winning it 22-16 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually double-overtime period 11-11. Northland made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Sallen turnovers. 28 personal fouls committed by Sallen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Canadian point guard Miah-Marie Langlois (173-91) scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Katie Bussey (175-90, college: Montana St., agency: LBM Management) chipped in 23 points during the contest.
